The Beauceron Standard

  • Club des Amis du Beauceron Standard - This is the French National Beauceron Club site. They are the official guardians of the Beauceron breed, and the club that makes any official changes to the Beauceron breed standard. This is THE standard of the Beauceron. The standard is in French.


  • Club des Amis du Beauceron - Standard in English - Same standard as above translated to English.


  • Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) Standard. This is the international dog organization that maintains the standards in multiple languages. For each breed, a standard is submitted from the National Club of the country of origin. In this case, for the Beauceron, the standard is submitted from Club des Amis du Beauceron.

  • American Kennel Club (AKC) Standard - This is the Kennel Club for the United States. Breed standards are submitted for each AKC recognized breed by the National parent breed club. In the case of the Beauceron, the parent breed club is the American Beauceron Club.


  • UPDATE United Kennel Club (UKC) Standard - This is a smaller Kennel Club mostly for Canada and the United States. They maintain their own breed standards. Their breed registrations are not accepted by many other countires.
