Meet Soleil du Murier de Sordeille, my inspiration behind this website. In June 2001, I flew to France and when I flew home I had a little 8 week old Beauceron puppy with me.

When I first read a description of the Beauceron breed, it was like I was reading a description of my perfect dog. But, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Soleil has exceeded all my expectations by far. I didn't know, when I picked out that little 8 week old puppy, how much joy and happiness she would bring me. My life has never been the same. I look forward to owning Beaucerons for many years to come.

Soleil is a very accomplished agility dog. She was the top Beauceron in AKC agility in 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2008. She came in 6th in the 26" class at the 2006 AKC National Agility Championships and qualified for the AKC World Team Tryouts in 2006 and 2007, & 2008. She came in 4th place in the 24" height class at the 2008 AKC Agility Invitationals. To top it all off, she now has Agility Champion titles from two different organizations. She has earned the MACH (Master Agility Champion) title with the AKC (American Kennel Club), and she has earned the ADCH (Agility Dog Champion) title with USDAA (United States Dog Agility Association). Soleil has been an incredible agility partner and a wonderfully enthusiastic teammate. She has by far exceeded all expectations I had of her when I picked her out at 8 weeks old.

Soleil and I went back to France in May, 2002 for the Nationale d'Elevage, the National Beauceron Specialty in France. She received a rating of Recommandée or Cotation 4 at just 12 months of age. To earn this she had to get an Excellent rating on the temperament test, an Excellent Plus rating in conformation, and be certified free of hip dysplasia. Soleil received a French hip rating of Dys A/A which means she is free of hip dysplasia. I have a special photo album of our trip here: Soleil in France - May 2002
