judge M. Alain Thévenon, President of le Club des Amis du Beauceron, Oriel and
a very pregnant Marion took Meilleure Femelle (Best Female), and then went
on to win the very prestigious Meilleur de la Journée (Best in Show).
Oriel had previously won
Meilleure Femelle at the Journée du Beauceron 2000, under French judge
M. Alain Renaux. What an incredible win for
an awesome team! Congratulations Oriel and Marion!

After a long flight to France, Soleil returned to her homeland for the
Club des Amis du Beauceron
Nationale d'Elevage (the National Beauceron Specialty) in St. Pierre-de-Boueuf,
on May 18-19, 2002. At just 12 months of age, under judges Mme Travers-Chapel
(Mensurations), M. Barbier (Caractere), and M. Travers (Morphologie), Soleil
received an Excellent in temperament, and an Excellent+ in conformation and
will receive a Recommandée (cotation 4) pending the results of her hip
evaluation. Just a week before at just 12 months and 4 days old, Soleil
received her certification for pet therapy work through
Therapy Dog International (TDI), being one of the youngest dogs to ever do so.
I just can't express how proud I am of my little girl!
UPDATE Soleil received a rating of A/A on her hips
so she is officially Recommandée!
